(DN) - On May 27, 2025, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc signed Decision No. 1717 QD-UBND on strengthening the Council for reviewing and voting for typical rural industrial products in Dong Nai.

Accordingly, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung is the chairman of the council; the permanent vice chairman is Mr. Van Huu Dong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; council members are representatives of relevant departments and branches.

The Council is responsible for establishing a jury and voting for typical rural industrial products in the province; proposing to competent authorities to approve the voting results, decide on recognition and grant certificates for typical rural industrial products. Thereby, selecting products that have achieved provincial certification to participate in voting at a higher level. The Department of Industry and Trade is the standing body of the Council, responsible for developing operating regulations, proposing the establishment of support groups and other tasks.

Dong Nai is a locality with strong industrial development, including rural industry with over 9,300 production establishments. In 2024 alone, Dong Nai will have 20 products certified as typical rural industrial products at the provincial level.
