Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Hieu inspected the progress of public investment projects in Yen Lac district.

On the afternoon of December 26, Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with the Working Group to promote the disbursement of public investment capital of the province inspected the progress of public investment projects in Yen Lac district. The inspection team included leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.

It is estimated that by the end of 2024, Yen Lac district will disburse 94% of the total assigned public investment capital.

As one of the key projects of Yen Lac district, the North-South urban axis road project of Vinh Phuc , the section from Ring Road 4 to the Red River left dike, has a total investment of 274 billion VND, implemented in the period of 2021 - 2024. Up to now, the project's construction volume has only reached 40%.

The reason for the prolonged construction progress of the project is due to difficulties in site clearance; problems with the safe height of the 220kV Hoa Binh - Soc Son power line; the location at the beginning of the line has complex geology, requiring treatment of weak ground.

In addition, the district lacks mineral resources, affecting the progress of site clearance. Currently, the investor is completing the application to adjust the total investment of the project to VND 286.7 billion.

Regarding the Yen Lac District Medical Center Renovation and Upgrade Project, the project has a total investment of more than 313 billion VND, with a scale of 250 beds, including the following items: Technical and operational building; inpatient treatment building; infectious disease department building; infection control department building; auxiliary items and technical infrastructure. The project is being implemented on schedule and is expected to be completed in May 2025.

Acknowledging the positive results achieved by Yen Lac district in disbursing public investment capital, however, in order to achieve the target of disbursing at least 95% of public investment capital as planned, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Hieu assigned the Department of Transport and related departments and branches to continue to remove difficulties and obstacles for the North-South axis road project of Vinh Phuc urban area, the section from Ring Road 4 to the Red River left dike; Yen Lac District People's Committee assigned specialized units to review and clearly identify key tasks in implementing public investment capital disbursement.

After inspecting the actual progress of the Yen Lac District Medical Center Renovation and Upgrade Project, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Hieu highly appreciated the efforts of the investor and construction units, and requested the investor and construction units to continue mobilizing human resources and machinery to speed up the implementation of project items, ensuring progress and labor safety during construction.

Assign the Department of Health to coordinate with the investor and Yen Lac District Medical Center to assess the current status of medical equipment, ensuring synchronous and modern investment, well meeting the medical examination and treatment needs of the people.
