Identified as having committed many violations, 10 officials of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bac Ninh province were disciplined and proposed for disciplinary action; of which 4 were expelled from the Party.
The Inspection Committee of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee has just held its 36th meeting, reviewing the inspection results when there were signs of violations and the review results, proposing disciplinary action for a number of cases.
Accordingly, the Inspection Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee found that a number of Party members of the Bac Ninh Department of Natural Resources and Environment Party Committee violated working regulations; violated regulations on preventing and combating corruption and negativity, regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; lacked self-cultivation, training, and degradation in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in preparing and appraising environmental impact assessment reports and granting environmental licenses.

The above violations and shortcomings have caused serious consequences, outraged public opinion, negatively affected the reputation of the Party organization, local government, agencies and work units, to the point of requiring disciplinary action.
Considering the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation; based on Party regulations, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee decided to take disciplinary action by expelling 4 Party members from the Party.
Specifically, they include: Dang Van Duong, Deputy Secretary of Party Cell 4, Head of the Environment Department, former Deputy Secretary of Party Cell 7, Director of the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Monitoring; Luu Xuan Hung, Party member of Party Cell 1, Deputy Head of the Department of Water, Minerals, Hydrometeorology and Climate Change, former Party Committee member of the Party Committee of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Secretary of Party Cell 4, Deputy Head of the Environmental Protection Department; Nguyen Duc Hieu, Party Committee member of Party Cell 4, civil servant of the Environment Department, former Head of the Appraisal Department of the Environmental Protection Department; Ngo Xuan Hau, Party member of Party Cell 7, employee of the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Monitoring.
In addition, the Inspection Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee decided to remove from all Party positions Mr. Le Duc Tho, Secretary of Party Cell 4, Deputy Head of the Environment Department, former Deputy Head of the Environmental Protection Department; Mr. Tran Chung, Deputy Secretary of Party Cell 7, Director of the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Monitoring, former Deputy Secretary of Party Cell 4, Deputy Head of the Environmental Protection Department.
Disciplinary warning for 3 cadres: Dam Ngan, Party member of Party Cell 4, civil servant of the Department of Environment, former Head of the Department of Environmental Communication and Biodiversity, Department of Environmental Protection; Nguyen Tien Binh, Party member of Party Cell 4, civil servant of the Department of Environment, former Head of the Department of Environmental Control, Department of Environmental Protection; Truong Thi Bich Phuong, Party member of Party Cell 1, Inspector of the Department of Inspection, former Party member of Party Cell 4, Head of the Department of Administration - General Affairs, Department of Environmental Protection.
The Inspection Committee of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee proposed that competent authorities consider and discipline Mr. Nguyen Dinh Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
At the same time, the Party Committee of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2020-2025 term is required to seriously review and learn from experience in leadership, direction and implementation of the Working Regulations; strengthen management andeducation of cadres and party members; and rectify state management work in all management areas.
