On the morning of January 9, attending and giving a speech at the conference on implementing health work in 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai directed the Ministry of Health to focus on implementing measures to innovate the health financial mechanism; implement a roadmap to correctly and fully calculate the price of health services; study and adjust the health insurance contribution rate in accordance with the roadmap to adjust the price of health services; study and propose appropriate remuneration policies for health workers in the overall salary reform; strive to excellently fulfill the task of protecting, caring for and improving people's health, making an important contribution to building a strong, prosperous country with healthy, well-off and happy people.

After listening to the reports and comments at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai expressed his impression of the achievements of the health sector in recent years, specifically last year the whole sector achieved and exceeded 3/3 of the main socio-economic targets assigned by the National Assembly and 7/9 specific health targets. Routine medical examination and treatment activities basically met the needs. Remote medical examination and treatment, and technology transfer to lower levels continued to be strengthened. Connections were made between 63 Departments of Health, 63 Social Insurance agencies, and 99.5% of medical examination and treatment facilities nationwide. In addition, the quality of available medical services was improved. Institutional improvement work was focused on and promoted, creating an important basis and foundation to solve the difficulties and shortcomings of the health sector in both the immediate and long term...
However, in addition to the achieved results, the health sector still has shortcomings and limitations that need to be focused on overcoming. Regarding the direction and tasks in the coming time, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai suggested that the entire health sector continue to promote the development and improvement of institutions, mechanisms and health policies. In particular, focusing on developing and promulgating documents guiding the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment (amended).

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai awarded the Government's Emulation Flag to three groups under the Ministry of Health, including Cho Ray Hospital, Thong Nhat Hospital, and Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology.
