
According to quick statistics up to 10 am on June 19, the whole province had 57 affected houses. Of which, Bach Thong district suffered the most damage with 43 houses affected by landslides; Bac Kan city had 03 houses with rocks and soil flowing into the kitchen; Na Ri district had 09 houses flooded, and in Ngan Son, 02 houses had landslides.
In addition, the floods also affected hundreds of hectares of crops. Specifically, in Bach Thong district, 105 hectares of rice and other crops were flooded; in Na Ri district, nearly 15 hectares of crops and fish ponds were flooded; in Ngan Son district, many areas of rice fields and fish ponds were also washed away. Statistics are still being carried out.

The transportation system was also seriously affected, many routes such as National Highway 3, National Highway 279 and inter-commune and inter-village routes suffered landslides, rocks and soil falling onto the roads, causing congestion. The total volume of landslides was estimated at about 2,400m³. Some infrastructure works were also damaged, such as the wall of the Bach Thong District Medical Center and the fence of Kim Lu Kindergarten (Na Ri) collapsed.
Immediately after the flood, local authorities and functional forces were present at the scene to support people in overcoming the consequences and ensuring safety.

According to the forecast of the Bac Kan Province Hydrometeorological Station, in the coming time, this area will continue to have rain, with the potential risk of flash floods, landslides and inundation in localities. People are advised to be vigilant and proactive in taking preventive measures to ensure the safety of life and property./.
