Over the past few days, Dak Lak province has suffered serious damage due to the historic floods. Krong Ana commune, although not in the flood zone, was still severely affected when the river water rose, causing local isolation.
According to a quick report from the Commune Party Committee, by 4 p.m. on November 27, the entire commune had 612 flooded houses (including 25 poor households), about 60 hectares of crops were flooded and livestock damage was estimated at more than 10 billion VND...
After surveying the urgent needs of the locality regarding the shortage of rescue equipment, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation decided to award 200 million VND. This amount of funding is to support Krong Ana commune to purchase specialized boats/canoes to proactively serve the work of transporting and evacuating people and transporting necessities in complicated flood situations.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thi Thu Nguyet deeply sympathized with the difficulties and losses that the government and people of Krong Ana commune had to endure in the recent natural disaster.
He said that although attending the National Assembly session in Hanoi , the Provincial National Assembly Delegation always focuses on the grassroots, actively mobilizing social resources to promptly organize working groups to visit, encourage and share with flood-affected localities.

Appreciating the locality's initiative, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thi Thu Nguyet commented that Krong Ana commune had well implemented the "4 on-site" motto, promptly evacuated people and widely informed about support plans, thereby minimizing damage to people and property.
Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thi Thu Nguyet also noted that in the coming time, the locality needs to continue to proactively prevent natural disasters early and from afar; carefully evaluate response work to learn from experience; promote internal resources and people's strength in overcoming consequences; pay attention to doing a good job of ideological work, encouraging people to soon stabilize their lives and production.
He also informed that in the coming time, the Central Ministries and branches will have policies to support crop varieties, debt relief and house repairs to accompany people and businesses in flood-affected areas. The commune needs to have a firm grasp of the target group so that the support reaches the right people and the right job.
Receiving the support, comrade Nguyen Minh Chi, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Krong Ana commune expressed his emotion and deep gratitude for the timely attention of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation. He affirmed that this is a very practical support, meeting the needs and at the right time, helping the locality to strengthen its capacity to prevent natural disasters and ensure the safety of people's lives.
The Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune committed to managing and using the 200 million VND budget to purchase vehicles for the right purpose, effectively, publicly, transparently, ensuring the best service for rescue work and protecting people during the flood season.
