Ensuring order in the organization of receiving and distributing relief goods after floods

On November 28, the Provincial People's Committee issued an Official Dispatch on ensuring order in the organization of receiving and distributing relief goods to overcome the consequences of floods.

According to the Official Dispatch, immediately after the floods occurred in the province (from November 15 to 21), implementing the direction of the Prime Minister and the Provincial Party Committee, the entire political system and the entire population in the province have been focusing on implementing the work of overcoming the consequences of the floods.

Along with that, the province has received attention, sharing and support from many organizations and individuals inside and outside the province in the work of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

This is a noble gesture demonstrating the tradition of mutual love of our people.

However, in the process of implementing relief work, besides localities and units that implement it in an orderly and scientific manner, there are still some localities that allow spontaneous distribution of relief goods, causing insecurity and disorder, obstructing traffic, somewhat affecting the implementation of flood recovery tasks, as well as normal social activities.

To ensure the reception and distribution of relief goods take place safely and orderly; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested heads of relevant departments, branches and sectors and chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards to focus on directing the timely reception and allocation of funds and relief goods to people in damaged areas, ensuring the reception and distribution of relief goods are public, transparent and fair.

Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards urgently arrange points for receiving and distributing relief goods concentrated at public places; arrange cadres, civil servants and public employees to manage, guide and coordinate the implementation; absolutely do not allow spontaneous distribution of relief goods in the middle of the road, causing congestion, traffic safety and security problems.

Organize to fully record the quantity and type of goods received; develop a plan to distribute goods evenly and to the right subjects, prioritizing heavily damaged areas and poor households, policy beneficiaries, and people in difficult circumstances.

At the same time, direct the commune/ward police force, traffic police, security and order forces at the grassroots level and related forces to coordinate in guiding, directing, regulating, and arranging traffic, ensuring traffic order and safety; preventing jostling and disorder. Strictly handle acts of taking advantage of relief activities to cause trouble or profit.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations to proactively mobilize forces to coordinate and support communes and wards in receiving and distributing relief goods, ensuring that the reception and distribution of relief goods take place in an orderly and civilized manner.
