Currently, the province has more than 5,500 food production, processing and trading establishments. Through inspections and checks by functional forces, it is shown that, besides establishments that are aware and responsible in using, processing, preserving food, ensuring food safety (FS) for customers, there are still many establishments that have a low sense of responsibility for public health. For profit, they are willing to use food of unknown origin, do not ensure food hygiene and safety, violate food safety regulations... In addition, many consumers lack knowledge about FHS, and also use products of unknown origin.
To ensure food safety and protect consumers' health, the Health sector has advised the Provincial People's Committee to develop and issue many documents guiding and directing sectors and localities to implement food safety activities; organize training courses to improve knowledge for professional staff; strengthen management, inspection, supervision and handling of production and business establishments violating food safety regulations.
Based on the plan of the Provincial People's Committee, all levels, sectors and localities have synchronously deployed measures to ensure food safety. Along with strengthening inspection and examination, functional sectors and localities have promoted propaganda for people to choose and use safe food, not to buy or use food of unknown origin. At the same time, raising awareness and responsibility of food producers, traders and processors, strictly complying with regulations on ensuring food safety...
When "dirty" food is widespread and cannot be recognized by the naked eye, raising awareness in buying and choosing of consumers is the most effective solution to ensure health for themselves, their families and society. Ms. Do Thi Ngan, Thanh Van commune (Tam Duong) said: Thanks to the functional sectors' propaganda of knowledge about food safety, the dangers from food of unknown origin, I have paid more attention in choosing daily food; often buy at familiar stores, use food that meets standards, organic food, ensure food safety... to protect the health of the whole family.
To raise awareness and consciousness of producers, traders and consumers about food safety, the Provincial Women's Union coordinates with relevant agencies to promote propaganda and mobilize agricultural and food production and trading establishments to ensure quality and safety for the health of the community; establish models for women to implement food safety, commodity chains of agricultural products and clean food...
The association at all levels integrates food safety implementation with the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's" and the program "Propaganda and mobilization for the production of quality, safe agricultural products and food for community health and sustainable development".
Ms. Bui Thi Nhung, Dong Tam ward (Vinh Yen) shared: Faced with the widespread situation of dirty food, fake goods, and poor quality goods, I had to change my consumption habits, buy food at familiar, reputable stores, and use products that meet standards and have clear origins.
Changing my shopping and food selection habits has helped ensure that my family's meals are always safe and healthy. In addition to buying foods with clear origins, sold at reputable supermarkets and food stores, I have equipped myself with the necessary knowledge to be able to choose food wisely.
Using food is an essential daily need of every person. To ensure a clean and safe food source for the community, in addition to the participation of authorities at all levels and functional sectors, each person should change their consumption habits, become a smart consumer, choose products that ensure quality, products with clear origin.
Absolutely do not use spoiled, moldy, or unknown origin foods. "Boycott" dirty, poor quality foods... to help ensure health and quality of life for yourself, your family, and the community.
