Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Vo Van Dung presents Tet gifts to workers in Bac Lieu

On February 8, Mr. Vo Van Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, visited, wished a happy new year and gave gifts to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances in Bac Lieu province.

Here, Mr. Vo Van Dung presented 100 gifts to workers and laborers facing difficulties working in the urban, aquaculture, and medical sectors. Each gift included necessities and 1 million VND.

According to the Bac Lieu Provincial Federation of Labor, on the occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year, trade unions at all levels in the province focused on organizing many practical and meaningful activities with the theme "Tet Sum Vay, Xuan Chia Chia". Specifically, the Bac Lieu Provincial Federation of Labor handed over 7 "Union Shelters" for workers, union members, and laborers to celebrate Tet in a new, spacious and warm house. At the same time, over 3,630 gifts, with a total amount of over 2.2 billion VND, were distributed to workers, union members, and laborers in difficult circumstances, those who had work-related accidents, or serious illnesses, to celebrate the spring and Tet.

Speaking at the New Year greetings, Mr. Vo Van Dung sent his best wishes to all workers and laborers in Bac Lieu for a warm and happy spring. On behalf of the leaders of the Central Internal Affairs Committee, Mr. Vo Van Dung welcomed the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in general and the Bac Lieu trade unions in particular for organizing many activities to care for workers and laborers during the New Year so that everyone can have a New Year and no one is left behind.

Mr. Vo Van Dung emphasized that workers and laborers are an extremely important force to contribute to the comprehensive and sustainable development of the country. Similarly, in Bac Lieu, each worker and laborer in any field has a very meaningful contribution to the development goals of the locality; especially those working in the fields of urban areas, fisheries, health, etc.

Mr. Vo Van Dung suggested that Bac Lieu province should organize activities to honor the silent examples of workers and laborers who have contributed to greening - cleaning - beautifying the appearance of the homeland; those who wholeheartedly take care of people's health; the "golden hands" in the fields of architecture and construction...

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, Mr. Vo Van Dung mobilized many individuals, organizations, and businesses to donate 3,000 gifts to the poor, policy families, meritorious people, workers, and laborers in difficult circumstances throughout Bac Lieu province (each gift worth from 500,000 VND to 1 million VND).
