The North-South Eastern Expressway through Ha Tinh has a total length of 107.28 km with 4 component projects, including Dien Chau - Bai Vot, Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang and Vung Ang - Bung. To date, three sections have been completed and put into operation with a length of nearly 95 km, including 4.9 km of Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway, 35.28 km of Bai Vot - Ham Nghi expressway and 54.2 km of Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway. Particularly, the 14.9 km of Vung Ang - Bung expressway passing through Ha Tinh will be put into operation on June 30. According to records, the North-South Expressway through Ha Tinh passes through a terrain that is mostly rice fields. Such a design will minimize impacts on residential areas, land, people's houses and other technical works. At this time, the spring rice crop in Ha Tinh has entered the concentrated flowering stage, creating a lush green background on the highway running through. The expressway through Ha Tinh is currently designed with 2 lanes in each direction, with a maximum speed of 90 km/h and a minimum speed of 60 km/h.
With nearly 95 km put into operation, it helps vehicles travel conveniently, reduces traffic pressure on national highways, and reduces travel time and distance for drivers.
In addition to passing through rice fields, the expressway through Ha Tinh also crosses many rivers, streams, and large reservoirs. The 700m long Ke Go Lake main canal overpass is one of the important items on the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway constructed by Xuan Truong Private Construction Enterprise. The expressway through Duc Tho, Can Loc, Thach Ha, Cam Xuyen districts and Ha Tinh city mostly passes through rice fields, but when it reaches Ky Anh district and Ky Anh town, it passes through hills and mountains. In the photo: The North-South expressway winds through Ky Trung commune, Ky Anh district. A section of highway passing through the mountainous terrain in Ky Trung commune (Ky Anh district) is picturesque. Along the North-South Expressway through Ha Tinh, there are many sections that cross high mountainous terrain. Contractors have to spend a lot of time, effort, and mobilize modern machinery and equipment to lower the height of the hills. From crossing mountains and hills, along the highway through Ha Tinh, majestic landscapes have been created that drivers can admire while participating in traffic.
Few people know that before the highway passed through, few people set foot on these lands.
When arriving at the Vung Ang - Bung expressway - the expressway that will be opened to traffic on June 30, traffic participants can easily see bridges over valleys and large reservoirs in Ky Anh land. In the photo: Bridge No. 1 over the valley in Ky Hoa commune, Ky Anh town, part of the Vung Ang - Bung expressway project, is being connected to the final spans.
Next are Bridge No. 2 and Bridge No. 3 along Kim Son Lake - a reservoir with a capacity of 17.5 million m3 in Ky Hoa Commune, Ky Anh Town. These are projects with difficult and complicated terrain, requiring precision during construction.
Although the construction encountered many difficulties, with close guidance from the investor and the efforts of the contractor, the Kim Son Lake overpasses have been basically completed. When completed and put into operation, the highway section passing through Kim Son Lake will certainly be a location where drivers can admire the majestic scenery of rivers, lakes, and mountains.
On the Vung Ang - Bung expressway through Ha Tinh, there is also the Deo But tunnel, nearly 1 km long, through the mountain. This is also the only tunnel on the 107.28 km expressway through Ha Tinh. Currently, the 840m long right tunnel serving phase 1 of the project has been 95% completed, ensuring the route will be opened on June 30.
When put into operation the entire 107.28 km route through Ha Tinh and synchronously connected with the routes passing through other provinces and cities across the country, the North-South Eastern Expressway will certainly create an important driving force to help Ha Tinh open up new space for socio -economic development, forming many urban areas, industrial parks, services, tourism and attracting investment into the province.
