Vice Chairman of Phu Duc Commune People's Committee Bui Van Lam said: Phu Duc has strengthened propaganda and mobilized people to participate in the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" and has received high consensus and response from the people. Commune organizations actively responded to New Rural Sunday, dredged and cleared sewers, cleaned up the landscape and environment; mobilized people to maintain security and order, and comply with traffic safety laws.

Propaganda work is associated with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, with the emulation movement "New Dong Khoi" according to Directive No. 01-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee. In which, exemplary cadres and party members take the lead according to the motto "Above first, below later", "Inside first, outside later" and have created a wide spread among the masses.

After the Covid-19 pandemic, the mobilization work to build new rural areas in Phu Duc commune has achieved positive results. From capital sources from superiors and mobilization, the commune has invested in building new and upgrading infrastructure to meet standards according to regulations. In the commune, more and more households are building new houses, repairing them, and purchasing all kinds of household appliances. The construction of rural traffic in the commune has many highlights, the main roads of the commune, hamlet and inter-group roads are concreted, creating convenience for people to travel and transport goods. In 2 years (2021 - 2022) and the first 4 months of 2023, the total cost of building rural roads in the commune is over 11.8 billion VND; of which, the provincial budget invested over 10.3 billion VND, people contributed more than 1.4 billion VND and donated land, crops, and labor days with a total value of hundreds of millions of VND.

Through the mobilization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations, Phu Duc has completed the construction of many inter-group and inter-hamlet roads and many rural bridges, including Tuong Nguyen Bridge in Con Doi (Phu Ninh Hamlet), contributing to unleashing the potential for local economic development and eco-tourism.

Socio-economic development

Phu Duc is interested in implementing the agricultural restructuring plan towards increasing value, sustainable development and implementing social security solutions well, taking care of people's lives. At the same time, promoting the brand of local fruit products, mobilizing the development of industrial and commercial production enterprises in the area and increasing people's income. By the end of 2022, the commune had reduced the number of poor households to 88 households (3.83%); average income per capita reached 53.59 million VND/year.

According to Vice Chairman of Phu Duc Commune People's Committee Bui Van Lam: Up to now, the commune has basically achieved 19/19 standards. Of which, 13 standards have been recognized by provincial departments and branches; standards 2, 5 and 6 have been appraised and are awaiting recognition; standards 12 are being supplemented for recognition; standards 1 and 9 are awaiting appraisal. The commune has basically completed the local tasks and is continuing to propagate and mobilize people to continue to complete the standards to meet the standards of a new-style rural commune.

The Party Committee and People's Committee of Phu Duc commune look forward to the continued active support of the functional branches of the province and district; especially the high consensus and response among the people so that the commune can be recognized as NTM in the second quarter of 2023, in accordance with the Resolution of Chau Thanh District Party Committee”, Secretary of Phu Duc commune Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong shared.

In the "New Dong Khoi" emulation movement, Phu Duc has 2 hamlet party cells recognized as clean and strong party cells in all aspects, including Phu Ninh hamlet party cell and Phu Hoi hamlet party cell. The "New Dong Khoi" emulation project of Con Doi bridge in Phu Ninh hamlet (costing over 4 billion VND) has been completed and put into use; the Tan Phu - Phu Duc saltwater prevention sluice project, the tourist route project serving the communes along Tien river phase 2 are being implemented on schedule and attracting many investors.
