(kontumtv.vn) – At Ro Koi village, Ro Koi commune, Sa Thay district, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a re-enactment of the Kra co maar ceremony of the Ha Lang people - a branch of the Xe Dang ethnic group. This is an activity to implement the National Target Program on socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 2024.

Kra Cơ Maar Festival is a type of folk belief of the Xe Dang ethnic group of the Ha Lang branch since ancient times. The festival is held by the people to dispel bad luck for the whole village, asking the gods to bring luck, health and prosperity to the families in the village.

This is an opportunity for members of the village community to reunite, share difficulties in life, and eliminate grudges, contributing to strengthening the spirit of solidarity and cohesion in the village community. In addition, this is a space to preserve many types of intangible cultural heritage such as language, writing, folk performing arts, decorative patterns, visual arts, cuisine and traditional costumes, etc.

Through the work of restoring and documenting the intangible cultural heritage of the Kra Cơ Maar ceremony of the Xe Dang ethnic group of the Ha Lang branch, it aims to protect good cultural values, create scientific archives, and contribute to raising awareness of the importance of heritage for the work of preserving and promoting national cultural identity of Party committees, authorities, management agencies and people in the area./.
