Nghia Do Ward: Equipping people with fire fighting and escape skills

On July 18, the People's Committee of Nghia Do Ward (Hanoi) coordinated with the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH) of Hanoi City Police to disseminate legal knowledge and provide training in fire prevention and fighting and CNCH for business households, enterprises and people.

At the conference, representatives of households, businesses, enterprises... were provided with legal knowledge in fire prevention and fighting and rescue work, information on fire and explosion situations, and serious fires that have occurred recently in the city, thereby clarifying the causes, current situation and solutions to improve the responsibility of facility owners for fire prevention and fighting work.

Along with that, the reporter instructed people on how to use fire prevention and fighting equipment safely and effectively; affirmed the importance of equipping and installing early fire warning systems, fire extinguishers, opening emergency exits, second escape routes, equipping tools and means for escape (gas masks, rope ladders...).

After the theoretical part, the conference delegates were given practice and instructions on how to use on-site fire prevention and fighting equipment and tools proficiently, and how to handle a fire or explosion promptly to minimize damage.

Vice Chairman of Nghia Do Ward People's Committee Hoang Trung Kien said that recently, the fire and explosion situation in Hanoi is still complicated. Many fires have occurred in family houses, houses combined with production and business, causing great damage to people and property. Therefore, the implementation of fire prevention and fighting and rescue tasks is a task that the ward pays great attention to in order to protect social order in the ward.

With the motto "4 on-site": On-site command, on-site forces, on-site means and on-site logistics, Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Hoang Trung Kien requested the Ward Police, the Department of Economics , Infrastructure and Urban Areas, the Department of Culture - Society, and the departments, branches and organizations of the ward to strengthen propaganda work, regularly inspect, handle and overcome existing problems in fire prevention and fighting work in the area. The Party cell secretaries, heads of residential groups, Fire Prevention and Rescue Teams are the core in mobilizing people to comply with the Fire Prevention and Fighting Law, and handle fire prevention and fighting situations right at the grassroots level.
