PTSC - Steady at 30, reaching out to welcome the new wind

On November 4, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, Petroleum Technical Services Corporation ( PTSC ) held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary with the theme "30 years old, steady, reaching out to welcome the new wind". Attending the ceremony were leaders of localities, leaders of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), leaders of PTSC, representatives of partners, customers, former leaders of PTSC through the periods, and PTSC employees at home and abroad. Briefly reporting on PTSC's operations over the past 30 years, comrade Le Manh Cuong, General Director of PTSC emphasized that in the development journey of PTSC, there has always been the support of the State leaders, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, PTSC leaders through the periods, especially more than 10,000 PTSC employees working at home and abroad, on drilling rigs or service ships... In the inevitable trend of global energy transition, with the commitment to Net zero by 2050, along with the potential of offshore wind power bringing many opportunities for potential businesses like PTSC, with a pioneering spirit, PTSC is entering the market with strong advantages, inheriting 30 years of experience, PTSC is gradually consolidating its position as an important link in the offshore renewable energy supply chain as well as its role as a developer. As a contractor, PTSC has had contracts worth billions of dollars and PTSC believes that it will soon have contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars. As an investor and developer, PTSC, together with international partners, has received conditional approval from the Singapore Energy Authority to import clean energy from an offshore wind farm planned to be built in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province with a scale of several billion dollars. PTSC continues to affirm its position as a traditional oil and gas technical service provider, with international contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars, as evidenced by customers from all over the world who have come here to participate in the program. It can be said that PTSC is full of optimism, believing in its ability to continue to transform, ready to change to welcome new opportunities and challenges. On the journey of construction and development, PTSC has also made significant contributions to the development of the community and environmental protection, including Ho Chi Minh City - where the Corporation is headquartered. With the achievement of excellently completing tasks continuously for many years, actively contributing to the city's emulation movement, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee awarded the traditional flag to PTSC to recognize its contributions over the past time.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Le Manh Hung, General Director of Petrovietnam congratulated PTSC on its long journey with its great achievements over the past 30 years, making important contributions to the strong development of the Vietnam Oil and Gas industry. Petrovietnam's General Director affirmed that with 30 years of growth, 24 member units and about 10,000 employees, PTSC has made very important and great contributions to the Oil and Gas industry. Of which, there are 3 important contributions, namely PTSC has contributed to the Group a team of high-level human resources and technical workers for the Oil and Gas industry, with 10,000 employees, PTSC accounts for more than ⅙ of the total number of employees of the Group. Second, PTSC has made great contributions in forming and accumulating knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry, including technical knowledge and management knowledge. Third, PTSC has contributed to the fundamental culture of the Oil and Gas industry. With these three very important contributions, PTSC has made a significant contribution to the foundation of the Oil and Gas industry today.
