Truong Sa military medics save fisherman who had 4 fingers severed in accident

On the morning of June 12, Truong Sa Town Medical Center (Truong Sa District, Khanh Hoa Province) received and provided emergency care to fisherman Pham Khac Sau (54 years old, residing in Hoai Nhon Town, Binh Dinh Province) who had a work accident at sea.

Earlier, at around 2am the same day, while fishing on fishing boat BD 99005-TS in the waters near Truong Sa island, Mr. Sau was caught in a fishing net, crushing and severing four fingers on his left hand. He was taken to Truong Sa island for emergency treatment by his fellow crew members.

After examining and consulting online with Military Hospital 175 (HCMC), military doctors from Truong Sa island performed surgery, cleaned, stopped bleeding, and sutured the patient's wound.

Currently, fisherman Sau's health is stable and he continues to stay on the island for treatment.
