On the morning of March 17, at Quan communal house, Quang Binh commune (Kien Xuong), the ceremony to receive the national relic ranking certificate and the opening of the traditional festival took place.
Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the certificate of national relic ranking for Quan communal house, Quang Binh commune.
Quan Communal House is a place to worship the village's tutelary god, his wife and two princesses; the communal house is located in the center of three villages of Quang Binh commune. This is an ancient communal house with a three-part structure, of which the sanctuary was built from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century, the main hall was built in the early 20th century entirely of ironwood. During the resistance wars, Quan Communal House was the place where many important local political events took place, where cultural and spiritual activities were organized to serve the spiritual life of the people. Currently, the communal house still preserves many valuable historical worship items such as altars, horizontal lacquered boards and parallel sentences, especially the Bat Cong palanquin and the Lord's palanquin over 200 years old, many valuable royal decrees are still preserved in their original state. Previously, Quan Communal House festival was held every three years with the festival including swimming competitions, rice cooking competitions, chess competitions, tug of war, etc.
Delegates and local people attended the ceremony to receive the certificate of national monument ranking for Quan communal house.
In 1994, Quan communal house was ranked as a provincial historical and cultural relic. On December 29, 2023, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a certificate ranking Quan communal house in Quang Binh commune as a national relic.
