On the afternoon of May 17, at Ba Doc Martyrs Cemetery, Ly Trach Commune, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province, a memorial service and burial ceremony was held for 19 remains of Vietnamese martyrs, volunteer soldiers and experts who died on the battlefield in Laos.
The remains of 19 Vietnamese martyrs, volunteer soldiers and experts who died on the battlefield in Laos were returned to their homeland for burial.
After 7 months of searching and gathering, Team 589 (Quang Binh Provincial Military Command) searched for and recovered the remains of 19 martyrs, volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who died in Laos during the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism.
Along with these martyrs' remains, the collection unit found many accompanying relics.
Leaders of Military Region 4 Command offered flowers and incense.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ho An Phong, Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee, Head of Provincial Steering Committee 515 expressed his deep gratitude to the Party, State and people of Laos; the Party Committee, government and people of Khammouane province for their attention and direction to departments, organizations, armed forces and people of Khammouane province to coordinate, help and create all favorable conditions for Team 589 to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

Leaders of Quang Binh province and Khammouane province (Laos) and many people burned incense to commemorate and express their gratitude to the martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and noble international duty. The memorial service for the martyrs was held according to the national and military rituals of the Vietnam People's Army.
This is the 44th time Quang Binh province has received the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the Laos battlefield back to Vietnam and buried them at Ba Doc Martyrs Cemetery.
