Quang Hoa teaches and guides 20 students in practicing the ritual of singing and dancing in the Nang Hai Festival.

On the afternoon of October 4, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a program to report on the results of the teaching and practice instruction class on the ritual dance and singing in the Nang Hai Festival in Tien Thanh commune (Quang Hoa).

Students perform excerpts from the dance Nang Hai.

The class to teach and guide the practice of the dance rituals in the Nang Hai Festival was deployed from the beginning of September 2024, with 20 Tay ethnic students from Hop Thanh hamlet, Tien Thanh commune participating. The students are mainly students and teenagers, aged 10 - 60 years old, with talent and love for the heritage of the local community.

During 30 training sessions, the students were taught by 3 artisans: Dinh Thi Toan, Dinh Thi Tuyen and Dinh Thi Gam the following contents: Festival organization process; rituals practiced in the festival (Hai invitation ritual; nightly rituals during the festival, such as: Soi huong, bien le, xinh Hai, khay pac, khay henh, chin ta, sowing seeds); basic movements in 5 dances practiced in the festival: Sweeping dance, praying for harvest dance, fan dance...

Through the class of teaching and guiding the practice of rituals, dances and songs in the Nang Hai Festival, students are equipped with basic skills in practicing dancing and singing. At the same time, this is a meaningful and practical activity, aiming to contribute to building more Nang Hai dance and singing teams in the locality as a foundation to expand and preserve the traditional cultural heritage of the nation; helping the younger generation continue to inherit and raise awareness in preserving and promoting the local cultural heritage.

Along with opening classes to guide the practice of rituals, dances, and singing in the Nang Hai Festival, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism supported 20 traditional Tay costumes, 20 pairs of velvet shoes, 20 paper fans, and 50 meters of Me Manh fabric to serve the festival activities in the locality.
