In the tense atmosphere before UFC Fight Night, Quang Le is the center of attention as he prepares to face strong opponent Gaston Bilanos. The match taking place on May 4 is not only an opportunity for the Vietnamese-born fighter to seek his first victory at the prestigious UFC arena, but also an important turning point in his career.
"Bilanos is very strong in standing, with dangerous kicks and great physical strength. But that is the type of opponent I love," Quang Le shared in an exclusive interview with Tri Thuc - Znews .
The 33-year-old boxer could not hide his confidence when revealing his strategy: "I will try to wrestle and end the match with chokes."
After two defeats to Chris Gutierrez and Long Xiao, Quang Le learned a valuable lesson about tactical flexibility. Instead of focusing solely on his standing strength, he is developing a more comprehensive style of play.
What is special about Quang Le is his unusual path to martial arts. Born on October 18, 1991 in Vietnam, he only started practicing martial arts after settling in the United States.
"At first, I just wanted to train to improve my health," Quang Le recalled. "But after a few fights, the coaches saw my potential and encouraged me to pursue a professional career."
Under the tutelage of big names like Greg Nelson, Nathaniel McIntyre and Joseph Dashou at The Academy MN, Quang Le has developed his skills from Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) to become a well-rounded MMA fighter.

When asked about his inspiration, Quang Le did not hesitate to express his admiration: "I like Ilia Topuria because of his comprehensive fighting style. Israel Adesanya is also a fighter that I always follow and learn from. In general, all fighters who have appeared in the UFC have very inspiring stories."
This spirit of continuous learning helps Quang Le progress, from a newcomer to martial arts to a fighter competing in the most prestigious MMA tournament on the planet.
The match on May 4 is not only an opportunity for Quang Le to seek his first victory at UFC, but also an opportunity for him to inspire the Vietnamese community who love martial arts.
"I am very proud to have competed in the UFC, and I will try to bring victory to myself and the fans," the Vietnamese-American boxer affirmed.
With sharp techniques proven through impressive knockout victories in the past, Quang Le is highly appreciated by experts for his potential. The match with Gaston Bilanos promises to be a top-notch match, where the audience will witness not only the technique but also the never-give-up spirit of the Vietnamese boxer.
