In which, Da Nang is the national growth pole; Quang Nam is the center of mechanical industry and supporting industry; Thua Thien Hue is the center of cultural industry, science and technology, education - training, high-quality healthcare, seaport services, trade, and international finance; Quang Ngai is the center of petrochemical refining and energy, the center of sea and island tourism; Binh Dinh is the center of information technology industry, services and tourism, the country's major center for marine economic development.

According to the plan, Quang Nam is located in the development area of both the North-South economic corridors in the East (from Thanh Hoa to Binh Thuan ) and the West (from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai). In addition, the plan also mentions the study of building the Bo Y - Quang Nam - Da Nang economic corridor in the future.
