Quang Ngai: Proposal to repair 5 suspension bridges and 2 seriously degraded schools

On November 26, the People's Committee of Kon Braih commune (Quang Ngai province) said that it had sent a request to the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Finance and the Department of Construction to consider allocating 9.5 billion VND to repair 5 suspension bridges and 2 schools that are seriously degraded in the area.

Five suspension bridges need to be repaired, including Kon Du suspension bridge, village 6 suspension bridge, Kon Ro Pen village suspension bridge, Dak O Nglang village suspension bridge, and Kon Nu suspension bridge. Two degraded educational facilities need to be repaired: Dak To Re Secondary School and Tan Lap Primary School.

The above works have been exploited and used for many years and are now degraded and severely damaged. The repair of the suspension bridge system and school items is considered extremely necessary and urgent.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tai Tho, Principal of Dak To Re Secondary School, said that the school was built in 2004, has 10 classrooms serving about 400 students but has seriously degraded. The floor and wall tiles are peeling, many rooms are leaking; it is hot in the dry season, and even more dangerous in the rainy season due to the old electrical system, sometimes short circuits occur, directly affecting the quality of teaching and learning at the school.
