Quang Ninh: Urgently preparing for the opening of Ha Long Carnival 2025

With the theme “Ha Long Carnival 2025 - Connecting heritage, pioneering the shining” , the program is inspired by the idea of ​​converging the intangible cultural heritage of the three regions on the heritage - natural wonder of the world Ha Long Bay. This year's Carnival brings back the atmosphere of a street festival imbued with the essence of international Carnival, creating many unique highlights.

The program brings together about 1,000 performers, recreating the image of a heritage land rich in historical and cultural values.

The parade car at the Carnaval bears the typical symbol of Ha Long City.

According to Mr. Hoang Cong Cuong - General Director of Carnaval Ha Long 2025, the program will be divided into three parts: Part 1 : Telling stories about the culture, history and people of Ha Long, Quang Ninh; Part 2: The convergence of Vietnamese heritages on stage, expressed through colorful, vibrant and creative performances; Part 3 : Introducing outstanding cultural stories of countries around the world, in line with the international integration spirit of Carnaval.

Mr. Cuong said that the program will be staged throughout as a story, where the emotional and artistic sources related to major festival seasons of Vietnam and the world converge.

In particular, the Ha Long Carnival 2025 will apply modern 3D Mapping technology to display the most beautiful images of Vietnam and Quang Ninh. In the opening ceremony, more than 30,000 spectators from all over the country will join together to sing the song "Noi vong tay lon" by musician Trinh Cong Son, in response to the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

About 10 high-power projectors manufactured in the US and Belgium will be used to project all the illustrations for the art performances. In addition, 1,000 stage effect lights of various types will be arranged reasonably, creating flexible spatial and temporal contexts.

Two large LED screens on both sides of the stage will show tourism promotional videos and live images of the program. The parade car bearing the typical symbol of Ha Long city will be a vivid highlight, attracting the attention of people and tourists.

People and tourists were deeply impressed with the parade floats bringing symbols of Quang Ninh to domestic and foreign friends at the festival.

Ms. La Thi Vat (born in 1966), one of 26 Tay ethnic artists from Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh, will perform the Tinh lute and Then singing at the festival. She shared: “This is the third time I have participated in the Ha Long Carnival. I am very honored and proud to perform the Tinh lute and Then singing - precious traditional cultural values ​​of the Tay ethnic group - at this important event. Activities like this contribute to maintaining, developing and promoting the beauty of ethnic culture, while connecting the community."

Pham Nguyen Y Anh (born 2008), one of the performers at the show, said: "Although the practice time was quite short and somewhat tiring, pride and happiness overcame everything. My friends and I promise to do our best to make the show a success, contributing to promoting the culture of Quang Ninh and Vietnam to international friends."

According to the Organizing Committee, about 90% of the preparations for the Ha Long Carnival 2025 have been completed. All actors of the program are urgently practicing, to fit the stage, rehearse and finalize for the official performance on the evening of May 1.
