Recently, at the 51st conference to listen to and give opinions on the work situation in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks in the last 6 months of 2024 organized by the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Executive Committee, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council, stated that in the first 6 months of 2024, the province has comprehensively led and directed with focus and key points, linking the axes of tasks in the implementation process.
In which, rapid, effective, sustainable socio-economic development and environmental protection are the center; building and rectifying the Party and a clean, strong, and comprehensive political system are the key; developing culture and people rich in Quang Ninh identity are the foundation; ensuring solid national defense and security, expanding and improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs activities are essential and regular.
The province has focused on improving the quality of growth, developing a culture rich in Quang Ninh's identity, and maintaining double-digit growth for ten years.
Focus on cultural and human development
In the first 6 months of 2024, the total budget for social security implementation in Quang Ninh province increased by 10% over the same period. Notably, Quang Ninh province has completed the new rural construction program (NTM) 2 years ahead of schedule at all 3 levels of province, district and commune; Binh Lieu is the first ethnic, mountainous and border district in the country to meet the new rural standards; Tien Yen and Dam Ha are the first 2 districts in the country to meet the advanced new rural standards according to the criteria of the 2021 - 2025 period.
The average income per capita of ethnic minority, border and island areas in 2023 is estimated at 6.1 million VND/person/month, 1.23 times higher than the national average income. Creating additional jobs for over 17.4 thousand workers, reaching 58% of the plan.
The work of building and rectifying the Party and a clean and strong political system has been comprehensively and continuously promoted in all aspects of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and personnel, associated with building a streamlined, effective and efficient organizational apparatus and streamlining the payroll.
National defense, security, border and island sovereignty are maintained, social order and safety are ensured, no sudden or unexpected incidents occur. Foreign affairs activities are promoted, expanded and improved in quality and efficiency.
Besides, in the past 6 months, the province has paid attention to solving well and harmoniously social issues, especially focusing on developing culture and people, ensuring social security, fairness and progress; improving the quality of people's lives.
Total social security expenditure increased by 10% over the same period. In this locality, investors and businesses are allowed to give opinions and assessments with the aim of improving and enhancing the quality of provincial government apparatus.

Investors and businesses have consistently appreciated Quang Ninh as the province has maintained its reform momentum. Business support has seen positive changes; market entry procedures have become more convenient; and administrative procedure reform has achieved more positive results.

The presence of big names at home and abroad in the province such as Vingroup, Sun Group, BIM Group, Tuan Chau Group, Amata, Nakheel, ISC Corporation... is also proof of that. This series of enterprises has gradually changed the face of the province, improved people's lives, and contributed to helping the locality reach the ultimate development destination of "people's happiness".
