Quang Tri: Many houses had their roofs blown off by tornadoes

Heavy rain, accompanied by a tornado on September 25, affected at least 67 houses, outbuildings, shops, and community centers.

On the evening of September 25, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Quang Tri province said that in Trieu Ai commune, Trieu Phong district, heavy rain and tornadoes had just occurred, affecting 67 houses, outbuildings, shops, and community centers. Of these, 3 houses had their roofs completely blown off, 12 houses had their roofs blown off by over 50%, and the remaining houses had their roofs blown off by less than 50%.

Many houses in Trieu Ai commune had their roofs blown off by the tornado.

In addition, the tornado also caused many crops and fruit trees to be broken and affected. Currently, local authorities are calculating the damage to have a direction for support according to regulations.

According to the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Quang Tri province, Mr. TKT, born in 1964, residing in village 6, Trieu Lang commune, Trieu Phong district, died while fishing in a 12CV boat at sea.
