The third working week of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly (from November 4-9) will feature many important contents, focusing on discussions on economic development and legislative work.
The National Assembly spent the entire working day on Monday (November 4) discussing in the hall: Assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for 2024; projected socio-economic development plan for 2025; implementation of the Constitution, laws, resolutions of the National Assembly, ordinances, resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee; policy on adjusting the National Land Use Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; policy on additional investment of state capital at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam ( Vietcombank ).
The meeting was televised and broadcast live on television.
In the morning session on November 5, the National Assembly also spent most of its time discussing in the hall the implementation of the state budget in 2024, the state budget estimate, the central budget allocation plan for 2025 (including the 3-year state budget-finance plan 2025-2027; the implementation of the state budget public investment plan in 2024, the expected state budget public investment plan in 2025; the implementation of the 2024 financial plan, the expected 2025 financial plan of the state financial funds outside the budget managed by the central government); some contents on adjusting and supplementing the state budget estimate.
In the following days, the National Assembly discussed the following draft laws: Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army; Law on Geology and Minerals; Law on Public Investment (amended); Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Planning, Law on Investment, Law on Investment under the form of public-private partnership and Law on Bidding; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Securities, Law on Accounting, Law on Independent Audit, Law on State Budget, Law on Management and Use of Public Assets, Law on Tax Administration and Law on National Reserves; Law on Electricity (amended); draft Law on Teachers, Law on Advertising, etc.
In addition, the National Assembly also discussed the investment policy of the National Target Program on Drug Prevention and Control until 2030; the Draft Resolution of the National Assembly on specific mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles for projects and land in the conclusions of inspections, examinations, and judgments in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City, and Khanh Hoa Province.
