National Day September 2nd - the last holiday of 2025 lasting 4 consecutive days

Specifically, the National Day holiday lasts for 4 consecutive days, from Saturday, August 30 to Tuesday, September 2. Of which, there are 2 National Day holidays according to the provisions of the Labor Code and 2 weekend days (Saturday, Sunday).

Agencies and units that do not have fixed days off every Saturday and Sunday must arrange a suitable holiday schedule based on the specific program and plan of the unit, but must notify at least 30 days in advance.

According to Article 112 of the 2019 Labor Code, employees are entitled to 2 days off on National Day (September 2 and the day immediately before or after). In 2025, September 2 falls on a Tuesday, so many businesses will arrange an additional Monday (September 1) to create a long holiday. In particular, if the holiday coincides with a weekend, employees will be given compensatory days off on the next working day.

For officials and civil servants, according to the Prime Minister 's decision, the 2025 holiday will last 4 days (from August 30 to September 2). Thus, the public administration sector will have a full week of relaxation, especially favorable for long trips.

For private employees, depending on the company's regulations, the time off can be flexible from 2-4 days. Some companies apply compensatory leave if the work schedule is different (for example, if you work all day on Saturday, you will be compensated with another day off).

For students, most schools have 4 days off, but some training facilities have their own schedules. Parents and students should follow the announcements from the school.

For foreign workers, in addition to Vietnamese holidays, they are given an additional day off for traditional Tet and their country's National Day. This shows respect for multinational cultures in the working environment in Vietnam.

In case the employee has only 1 day off per week (Sunday), the September 2nd holiday for this subject will last for 3 days.

In 2025, officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers will have 22 days off for holidays and Tet, including 11 official days and 11 compensatory and swapped days off.

According to the 2019 Labor Code, employees are entitled to a total of 11 official paid holidays and Tet, including New Year's Day (1 day), Lunar New Year (5 days), Hung King's death anniversary on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month (1 day), April 30th (1 day), International Labor Day on May 1st (1 day) and National Day on September 2nd (2 days).

Foreigners working in Vietnam get an extra day off for their traditional New Year and National Day.
