Reporting on the results of mobilizing, building, managing and using the "For the Poor" Fund in the third quarter of 2025, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Dong Commune, Nguyen Trong Tinh, said: The remaining fund from 6 old communes transferred to the total is more than 681 million VND; the fund mobilization result as of October 13 is 635,322 million VND.
Many outstanding groups and individuals have actively participated in supporting the fund, such as: Hanoi Housing Company 240 million VND, Construction Trade Joint Stock Corporation 100 million VND, Camel Beer Company 50 million VND...
As of September 30, the "For the Poor" Fund of Phu Dong commune has used 492.95 million VND, giving 30 gifts worth 36 million VND (1.2 million VND/gift) to members and union members in difficult circumstances on the occasion of National Day September 2; giving 19 gifts worth 38 million VND (2 million VND/gift) to students of Yen Vien Primary and High School on the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2025-2026; presented 169 bicycles worth 295.75 million VND (1.75 million VND/bicycle) to primary and secondary school students and 101 gifts worth 121.2 million VND (1.2 million VND/gift) to disadvantaged preschool students in the commune on the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2025-2026... The remaining fund as of October 13 was more than 823.5 million VND.
The work of building, managing and using the "For the Poor" Fund in accordance with regulations, for the right purpose, and for the right subjects; activities to support near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances must be practical and effective, contributing to the implementation of the commune's poverty reduction task.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Dong Commune Nguyen Duc The launched the peak month "For the poor" and social security in 2025, which will be implemented from October 17 to November 18, 2025. The target audience is agencies, units, organizations, and businesses in the area; philanthropists inside and outside the commune; all cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, union members, association members, and people in the commune.
Comrade Nguyen Duc The emphasized that the mobilization, management and use of the "For the Poor" Fund must ensure compliance with the regulations and provisions of the law, be carried out publicly, transparently, and support the right subjects; the review of support needs must ensure that no subjects with particularly difficult circumstances in the commune are missed.
Support work through practical activities, such as: Support for building and repairing Great Solidarity houses for poor households; support for livelihoods, breeding animals or lending capital, introducing vocational training and jobs to increase income; taking care of and sponsoring children in difficult circumstances, orphans, homeless elderly people, patients with serious illnesses; supporting the school construction program for border communes through the central "For the Poor" Fund...
The organizing committee presented gifts to 36 near-poor households in the commune and awarded "Golden Heart" certificates to organizations and individuals who supported the commune's "For the Poor" Fund.
