In just over 2 weeks, the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) will take place at the historic Ba Dinh Square. In addition to the parade forces of the Army, Police and other masses, the parade group of 160 veterans is also practicing diligently at the Quan Ngua Sports Palace (Ngoc Ha Ward).

Enthusiastically practicing with his teammates, veteran Nguyen Hai Long (Ngoc Ha ward) said that regardless of the weather, the veterans always uphold their sense of responsibility to complete their assigned tasks well.
“Upholding the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, we are united in "overcoming the sun and rain", uniting with the highest sense of responsibility so that the marching group can excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people,” said Mr. Nguyen Hai Long.

Chairman of the Ngoc Ha Ward Veterans Association Nguyen Van Lam affirmed the honor and pride when Ngoc Ha Ward was selected 85 outstanding veteran cadres and members to represent the Vietnam Veterans Association and the Capital Veterans Association to participate in the parade.
“Realizing the honor, pride and heavy responsibility, immediately after receiving the task, the Ngoc Ha Ward Veterans Association immediately deployed to the branches to organize a review and select qualified members to join the training force,” shared the Chairman of the Ngoc Ha Ward Veterans Association.

Although the majority of veteran members are old, have limited health, and train with high intensity in extremely harsh weather conditions, they always maintain and promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers. All of them strive and are determined with the spirit of overcoming the sun and rain; working together, being of one mind; uniting, helping each other during the training process at the training ground and taking advantage of extra practice time at home with the highest will and determination to excellently complete the task on the important holiday of the country.
"After a week of training, the veteran force participating in the parade basically met the requirements," Mr. Nguyen Van Lam assessed.

Visiting and encouraging the veteran marching group who were practicing, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Ngoc Ha Ward Nguyen Cong Thanh said that the veterans had strictly followed the orders from their hearts and carried out methodical and scientific training. "This image will remain forever in all the people of the ward, the capital and the whole country," said comrade Nguyen Cong Thanh.
