The Vietnam Bicycle - Motor Sport Federation (VCF) in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) and the Vietnam Motor Sport Investment and Development Management Company have just announced the Vietnam Grand Prix - HTV Series motorcycle race.
The organizing committee introduces the Vietnam Grand Prix - HTV Series 2024 motorcycle racing tournament
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - General Secretary of VCF said that this is the first official motorcycle race organized in Vietnam with the desire to build and develop this potential speed sport. "We aim to develop the tournament in a professional direction, thereby creating a stepping stone for Vietnamese athletes to step into the international arena. We have had good racers who left their mark in international tournaments and expect to have more and more professional athletes," Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu confided.
Racer To Ha Dong Nghi hopes that the tournament will be maintained annually, organized professionally so that teams and athletes can have strong investments to aim for specific goals. In addition, athletes also want to be supported with procedures to have the best preparation for racing cars.
Many young people are passionate about the speed sport of motorcycle racing but lack a formal playground.
According to information from the organizing committee, the Vietnam Grand Prix - HTV Series 2024 motorcycle race has a total of 3 races. Stage 1 takes place on September 22 at Dai Nam racetrack ( Binh Duong ), stage 2 takes place on October 22 at Hanoi racetrack and stage 3 on December 22 at Dai Nam racetrack. Racers will compete in 4 categories: 160 cc scooter, UB (Underbone 150 cc), SP150 (Sport 150 cc), 125 cc 2-stroke.
It is expected that 64 racers, including notable faces such as To Ha Dong Nghi, Huynh Minh Sang, and Nguyen Anh Tuan, will compete in stage 1. Because there is no separate category for women, female athletes will compete with male athletes.
