Review of expired land leases for businesses

On March 29, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh chaired a special meeting of the City People's Committee, discussing and approving a number of contents under the authority of the City People's Committee.

Delegates discussed and unanimously approved the contents presented by departments, branches and sectors. In particular, the proposal of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment related to difficulties in implementing Decree No. 12/2024/ND-CP of the Government and determining the starting price for auctioning land use rights for land plots and lots in the city. Unanimously approved the proposal of the Department of Home Affairs related to approving the target for developing high-quality human resources in 2024; the report of the Department of Construction related to the investment policy for the project to renovate the drainage system and bury information cables and lighting on 4 inner-city roads (Phan Chau Trinh, Le Loi, Hoang Dieu and Ong Ich Khiem) in Thanh Khe and Hai Chau districts.

Regarding the proposal of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment on extending land lease terms for enterprises in some land areas in the city, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh requested the department to focus on reviewing land areas that have expired lease terms but enterprises have not submitted applications for extension and send a specific report to the City People's Committee for consideration. For land lease cases with full legality, lease term expiration, and application for extension as prescribed, the city will continue to extend the land lease and enjoy full land tax incentives as prescribed. The Chairman of the City People's Committee acknowledged the proposed opinions and requested departments, branches and sectors to promptly complete the relevant documents and contents approved by the meeting.
