In recent times, to contribute to raising people's awareness in maintaining environmental hygiene and building a cultural lifestyle in residential areas, local Party committees and authorities in the province have actively promoted and mobilized people to make efforts to beautify their homeland.

Women's unions at all levels actively participate in environmental sanitation and ornamental flower planting.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Thuc, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Area 3, Ward IV, Vi Thanh City, shared: With methods suitable to local conditions, the area regularly mobilizes people to protect the green - clean - beautiful environment, raising the sense of responsibility of each individual and the community to participate in preserving the common landscape. To improve the effectiveness of model building, in the first months of this year, the area has coordinated with the ward's associations to carry out 3 propaganda campaigns to help people understand and raise awareness of maintaining hygiene and beautifying the environmental landscape.

Thanks to the good work of mobilization, along with the awareness of the people in joining hands with the authorities at all levels to implement, thereby contributing to the formation of 2 civilized streets in area 3, namely Nguyen An Ninh street and a section of Nguyen Hue street. The remaining streets are actively built by the people to be spacious, clean and beautiful.

A resident of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, Area 3, Ward IV, said that there is no longer any littering or food containers on the small canal in front of their house. Instead, people have become more conscious of maintaining public hygiene, such as planting more flowers and ornamental plants around their houses. This is an effort to join hands with the locality to build their hometown to develop more and more, and to protect the living environment better.

For the Provincial Women's Union, every year there are many plans and documents directing all levels of the union to promote propaganda and mobilize women to actively participate in environmental protection, integrating them into club, branch and union activities with many diverse and rich forms to raise members' awareness in environmental protection and building environmental landscapes.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang, President of the Women's Union of Phung Hiep district, said: The Union continues to mobilize members and women to effectively implement the Green Hau Giang Project, build beautiful landscapes, collect and classify waste. Propaganda for members and women to limit the use of plastic bags, disposable plastic waste, compost to protect the environment, associated with the implementation of existing models in the locality, effectively participate in the construction of new rural communes and advanced new rural areas. At the same time, propaganda to improve the quality of the Campaign to build 5 no, 3 clean; 5 yes, 4 clean families launched by the Central Union in areas to build advanced new rural communes and civilized urban areas.

In addition, the Women's Union of Phung Hiep district also launched the model of "Green tree nursery", with 20 members participating, to proactively provide seedlings, reduce costs in implementing beautiful road construction projects. At the same time, spread the message of environmental protection, planting trees to create beautiful landscapes in the locality.

The Women's Union of Phung Hiep district also expanded 3 models of 4 clean houses, clean vegetable gardens, with 60 members and presented 30 household trash cans worth 1.5 million VND. Implemented 8 Tet tree planting projects to forever remember Uncle Ho, flower roads of clean houses, bright street lights, green, clean, beautiful alleys. Thereby, 2,200 cotton trees were planted, 88 poles and energy-saving light bulbs were installed, with a length of 5.2 km, with 93 forces participating.

Promoting the pioneering and volunteering role of young people, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Mai, Secretary of the Youth Union of Ward IV, Vi Thanh City, said: In recent years, the Youth Union of the ward has actively promoted propaganda activities to raise awareness among union members, young people and people about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on environmental protection. Actively organizing propaganda activities for young people and people to raise awareness of environmental protection through movements such as fighting plastic waste, limiting the use of plastic bags, protecting water resources. Specifically, during Youth Month, the Youth Union of Ward IV launched a peak day of "Volunteering to build a civilized urban area" with activities such as environmental sanitation, garbage collection, and clearing the flow of the Thuy Loi canal in area 3. This activity attracted many youth union members and residents on the route to participate.

Regarding Chau Thanh district, Mr. Do Trung Nam, Chairman of the District Farmers' Association, said: The Association has promoted propaganda,education , and raised awareness of environmental protection. Advanced new rural construction is associated with building a model of classifying household waste into organic fertilizer at households, a model of collecting pesticide packaging, and a model garden. In particular, propaganda for Association officials about the nature of climate change, the perspective of adaptation as the focus and considering proactive adaptation to climate change as a mandatory requirement for all levels of Farmers' Associations in the district.
