Ronaldo could leave Al Nassr after this season.

According to Marca , negotiations over a new contract were halted following Al Nassr's 2-3 defeat to Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League on May 8, just days after the club was eliminated from the AFC Champions League semi-finals by Kawasaki Frontale.

"Ronaldo was expected to sign a two-year contract extension, but the Riyadh club's poor results have forced the 40-year-old superstar to rethink his future," the source wrote.

Ronaldo has been a star of the Saudi Pro League since joining Al Nassr from Manchester United in early 2023, but the team's continued failure to win trophies has forced him to reconsider his future.

Ronaldo's frustration with the current situation has caused chaos at Al Nassr. Goal revealed that the Portuguese superstar could not be ruled out from moving to another Saudi Arabian team.

Ronaldo has repeatedly expressed his desire to reach 1,000 goals before retiring, and he currently has a total of 934 goals. Al Nassr is currently 4th in the Saudi Pro League, falling out of the group of teams with tickets to the AFC Champions League.

Ronaldo once declared that he came to Saudi Arabia not only to score goals but also to change the face of football in this region. However, after 3 seasons, the simplest thing is to conquer major titles with Al Nassr, Ronaldo still has not done it.
