Mo De Bamboo Forest is a familiar destination for tourists, with many photo opportunities that look "like something out of a martial arts movie".

Located in Mo De commune, Mu Cang Chai district, about 3.5 km from the town center, Mo De bamboo forest is a popular tourist attraction chosen by many visitors when coming to Mu Cang Chai. Admire the golden season.

According to local guide Mùa A Giàng, the bamboo forest is approximately 80 years old. Initially, the bamboo here was planted for building houses, fences, and water channels. Currently, the forest has been expanded and developed into a tourist destination, covering an area of about 3 hectares.

There are two routes from the town center to Mo De bamboo forest. The roads are not easy to navigate because they are narrow, steep, and high. "If tourists are inexperienced or have weak driving skills, they should hire a local motorbike taxi to ensure safety," A Giang said.

Motorbike taxi fares from the city center range from 100,000 to 150,000 VND per person for a round trip. Entrance fee to the bamboo forest is 20,000 VND.

To enter the forest, visitors will follow a small path, then descend a series of steps (photo). The unpaved, pristine path offers a feeling of closeness to nature.

The bamboo in the forest is tall and densely planted; looking up at the treetops, visitors will see a mystical scene. The air in the forest is fresh and quiet, and the sound of birds singing can be clearly heard.

The forest path slopes gently, with some flat sections and areas connected by trails for easy movement. The flat areas are chosen by tourists to pose for photos.

The babbling streams in the forest create a picturesque scene. Many sections will have bridges crossing them.

Many miniature landscapes were added to the forest, such as swings, heart-shaped models, traditional Hmong flutes, and models of the moon, bird nests, and bamboo tables and chairs.

The photo shows one of the most popular photo spots among tourists.

While walking in the forest, tourists will sometimes come across strange mushrooms. "Usually, the mushrooms will have bright colors like red or yellow, and most of them are poisonous, so you shouldn't touch them," A Giàng said.

Right at the entrance to the bamboo forest is a house where tourists can rest, drink water, and rent traditional costumes.

Costume rentals range from 50,000 to 80,000 VND per set, per rental. They offer martial arts costumes, Hmong costumes, and props for photoshoots.

"There aren't many men's outfits, mostly women's. There's a changing room with lights and mirrors," A Giàng added.

Visitors typically spend 30 minutes to an hour experiencing the area. "The forest scenery is like something out of a movie," commented a visitor from Hanoi .

Visitors should go to the bamboo forest in the morning or afternoon, when it's sunny, to catch the rays of sunlight filtering through the forest, creating a magical scene. It's best to avoid visiting when it's raining.

"The journey was difficult, but the experience was amazing once we got there," said the female tourist from Hanoi.
