(QNO) - On the afternoon of June 14th, a large number of locals and tourists flocked to the Kim Bong Craft Village Center (Cam Kim commune, Hoi An city) to immerse themselves in the Kim Bong rural market.

The Kim Bong rural market is a unique activity within the series of events of the Quang Nam Culture, Sports , and Tourism Days taking place throughout June in many localities across the province.

According to the organizers, this is not only a market imbued with the rural spirit of Quang Nam province, but also a vibrant cultural space, recreating "Memories of a rural market in the mid-20th century" associated with Hoi An ancient town.

Visiting the rural market, depending on their preferences, locals and tourists alike have chosen their own corner to savor the old-fashioned flavors of the countryside and take them home to share with friends and family.

Some tourists contemplate the renowned Kim Bong carpentry village, searching for the rustic beauty of a traditional craft village that has contributed to the heritage value of the ancient city of Hoi An.

Many young people enjoy experiencing traditional folk games such as Bài Chòi (a Vietnamese card game), Bingo, Blindfolded Pot-Smashing, Do Tam Huong (a Vietnamese card game), and Jump Rope… There is also a space here for those who love listening to country music.

Of course, we can't overlook the culinary scene at "the old countryside wharf" with its rustic dishes that evoke fond memories, such as: banh beo (steamed rice cakes), Quang noodles, cao lau (noodle soup), chicken rice, stir-fried clams, grilled meat, vermicelli with fermented fish sauce, mung bean sweet soup... All of these come together to create a unique and heartwarming culinary experience.

According to the leaders of Cam Kim commune People's Committee, the authorities have also arranged several free boat trips for tourists to enjoy the waterways of Cam Kim during this period by taking boat rides along the Thu Bon River.

This will be an unforgettable experience, where visitors can listen to the rhythmic tapping of fishing nets, the sound of waves lapping against the shore, and immerse themselves in the call-and-response folk songs – the sounds of the old fishing village echoing in their minds.
