Saigon Co.op introduces Thanh Ha fabric into its nationwide distribution system.

On the morning of May 27th, a ceremony was held at Co.opmark supermarket in Hai Phong to launch Thanh Ha lychees (Hai Phong) into the Saigon Co.op distribution system.

Accordingly, 300 tons of Thanh Ha lychees from Hai Phong City were transported to more than 800 sales points nationwide within the Saigon Co.op distribution system. This program not only contributes to expanding the market for local agricultural products but also further affirms Saigon Co.op's long-term orientation in building a modern, sustainable, and distinctly Vietnamese product distribution ecosystem.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Vu Thi Kim Phuong, Deputy Director of the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade, emphasized: Introducing Thanh Ha lychees into Saigon Co.op's distribution system is a practical activity aimed at supporting agricultural product consumption, expanding markets for OCOP products and local specialties. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to promote Hai Phong's agricultural brand to consumers nationwide through a modern retail system.

The Deputy Director of the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade highly appreciated Saigon Co.op's partnership in connecting supply and demand and supporting businesses and cooperatives in selling their products. He also affirmed that in the coming time, the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade will continue to promote trade activities, creating conditions for more distinctive local products to participate more deeply in large distribution systems nationwide.

In recent years, the product has received increasingly systematic investment in cultivation processes, quality standards, and traceability, gradually asserting its value in the market.

Thanh Ha lychees are a popular choice among locals and tourists alike, thanks to their thick flesh, small seeds, thin skin, and rich, sweet flavor.

Also at the event, Mr. Duong Minh Quang, Deputy General Director of Saigon Co.op, said: “Saigon Co.op wishes to continue to promote its role as a bridge between production areas and modern consumer markets, contributing to bringing local specialties closer to consumers nationwide. Partnering with Thanh Ha lychees is also part of Saigon Co.op's long-term strategy to support the consumption of Vietnamese agricultural products, spread quality Vietnamese goods, and create more opportunities for sustainable development of the local economy .”

From now until June 10th, the system is implementing a promotional program offering discounts of up to 20% on Thanh Ha lychees to stimulate consumer demand and make it easier for consumers nationwide to access local specialties during the summer. Besides sales activities, many sales points are also enhancing the promotion of Hai Phong specialties, organizing product trials, introducing typical OCOP products, and communicating stories about the growing region to increase consumer experience associated with Vietnamese agricultural products," Mr. Duong Minh Quang informed.

Within the framework of the event, Saigon Co.op also coordinated the organization of a supply-demand connection conference between the retail system and businesses, cooperatives, and suppliers in Hai Phong to expand opportunities for long-term cooperation in many product categories in the future.

Previously, at AEON Mall Hai Phong, the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade organized the "Week of Promoting Thanh Ha Lychees and Typical OCOP Products of Hai Phong City in 2026" with the theme "Connecting - Spreading Local Values". This was not only a trade promotion activity, connecting supply and demand, and supporting the consumption of local products, but also an opportunity to promote characteristic and typical products, deeply rooted in the culture and cuisine of Hai Phong, to residents and tourists.
