Samsung has officially confirmed that it is collaborating with the European Space Agency (ESA) to introduce the Galaxy Time solar system watch face for its Galaxy Watch. These watch faces will allow the Galaxy Watch to access real-time data from our solar system directly on the wrist.

The new Galaxy Time watch faces are now available on Galaxy smartwatches running WearOS. This means they’re available on all Samsung smartwatches, including Galaxy Watch Series 4 and later models. Users of eligible Galaxy Watch models can now download the new watch faces from the Google Play Store.
There are eight different Galaxy Time watch faces to match the number of planets in the solar system. Each planet has its own clock system, with time running slower and faster based on different factors. The time on each planet is calculated by carefully observing its rotation speed and orbit around the sun. Because of the complexity of these calculations, Samsung has worked with the European Space Agency to ensure the quality of the time data used in Galaxy Time.
In addition to the time, the new watch face can provide other useful details, including the distance of the planets from the Sun and Earth, the number of moons, and their real-time positions and respective seasons.
