New playground of Billiards Carom 3-cushion HCMC

The HBSF Cup 2023 is a professional 3-cushion Carom tournament system organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation (HBSF) with the aim of building an annual tournament system, creating a professional playground, gradually building a systematic foundation of 3-cushion Carom Billiard athletes in Ho Chi Minh City with a total prize value of up to 800 million VND.

The appearance of the tournament helps players have more playgrounds, contributing to the development of the movement.

Specifically, the Federation's tournament system includes 3-4 Cup Tournaments within a year. After that, there will be a Championship (Final) at the end of the year based on the achievements of the athletes in the Cup tournaments and the invited players from the continent and the world participating depending on the conditions of the Federation each year. In particular, all these tournaments are organized, scored and ranked for the athletes according to the regulations on scores and rankings of HBSF. The tournament system is organized on an open scale, not limited to the participants being athletes from provinces and cities with the common goal of contributing to the development of Billiard Carom Vietnam.

Tour 1 gathers about 360 athletes, including all the top players in Vietnam such as: Tran Quyet Chien, Nguyen Duc Anh Chien, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu, Nguyen Quoc Nguyen, ... taking place from April 23 to 28 at Ba Chieu Billiards Club. The players will compete in the following format: From the qualifying round to round 64, compete for 30 points with 40 shots; from round 64 to round 32, compete for 30 points with no shots; from round 16 to quarter-finals, compete for 40 points with no shots; semi-finals and finals, compete for up to 50 points with no shots.

In the Cup tournaments, the bonus points and prizes are respectively: champion (50 million VND, 80 bonus points), runner-up (20 million VND, 56 points), third place (10 million VND, 36 points), 5th-8th place (5 million VND, 26 points) and 9th-16th place receive 2 million VND and 18 points. Meanwhile, the bonus money and bonus points in the championship are expected to be even higher and will have the participation of the world's strongest players. In particular, the top 8 players in each Cup Tour will be qualified to compete in the final Tour of each season. In addition, players with high achievements in each Tour will have the right to participate in the next Tour.

Also at the opening ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation also held a signing ceremony, recognizing the sponsorship of the 3-Cushion Carom Billiards tournament system of the HBSF Cup 2023. In which, the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation officially signed a sponsorship contract with MIN Investment & Service Company Limited as the Diamond sponsor for the HBSF 3C tournament system for 3 consecutive years.

Speaking after the signing ceremony, Ms. Vo Thanh Thuy, representative of the sponsor, shared: “We are very happy and honored to accompany the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation to create a quality, professional tournament for players.
