From August 28 to September 1 in Indonesia, the Kurash team will compete in the Southeast Asian Kurash Championship and the Southeast Asian Beach Kurash Championship 2025.
The team participated with the strongest force, focusing on the goal of winning the highest medal.
With an overwhelming achievement of 40 gold medals, 22 silver medals and 07 bronze medals, Vietnamese martial artists have shown a completely superior performance compared to the remaining delegations in the region such as: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Myanmar.
At the Southeast Asian Kurash Championship, Vietnamese boxers competed at their peak and won 21 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
At the Southeast Asian Beach Kurash Championship, once again Vietnamese boxers maintained the upper hand.
Vietnamese boxers demonstrated excellent adaptability to the sand competition conditions, continuing to win 19 more gold medals, 11 silver medals and 5 bronze medals.
The success of the tournament not only brought glory to the country's sports but also affirmed the depth of Kurash Vietnam's force, from the youth team to the national team.
Before participating in the tournament in Indonesia, Vietnam Kurash competed at the 2025 Asian Championship and ranked second with 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 3 bronze medals, just behind Kurash powerhouse Uzbekistan.
This achievement not only affirms the outstanding development but also shows the careful preparation of the sport towards the bigger goal of ASIAD 2026 in Japan.
