Police force stretched rope to approach the victim

At about 3:30 p.m. on September 29, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department - Thanh Hoa Provincial Police received information that a family of 6, including 2 children under 9 years old in Triu village (Dien Lu commune) was trapped in a house at risk of collapsing due to strong floodwaters.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department - Thanh Hoa Provincial Police mobilized a working group of 8 officers and soldiers of Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Region 10 to quickly approach the area to rescue the victims.

Approach the location of the victims

Because the house was located between two streams, the floodwaters were almost touching the roof, flowing rapidly, and in danger of collapsing at any time, so the rescue work was carried out very urgently. Accessing the house by boat and canoe was also very difficult, so the police force had to use ropes and life buoys to swim to the scene, quickly bringing each resident out.

Rescue people in distress and bring them safely to shore

After nearly 2 hours struggling with the rough waves, the police officers rescued all 6 people and brought them safely to shore.
