OCOP products serve Tet market

In recent days, OCOP product owners in Nui Thanh district have been busy bringing products to market to serve the Lunar New Year.

In Tam My Tay commune, where the famous OCOP product "Tam My glutinous rice" has achieved a 3-star provincial rating, many customers come to buy directly and place orders for Tet.

Mr. Le Van Hong - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Tam My Tay Commune, member of the Board of Directors of Tam My Tay Agricultural - Tourism Service Cooperative shared that since the beginning of December, many customers have ordered OCOP Tam My glutinous rice products of the Cooperative. By mid-December, the Cooperative had sold about 300 products.

In Tam Xuan 1 commune, Tri Tin Thinh Company Limited (Khuong My village, Tam Xuan 1 commune) is the owner of 2 OCOP products "Viakake Tet cake" and "Vinakake Chung cake" and is also busy with peak production.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tin - Director of Tri Tin Thinh Company Limited said that in recent days, the company has focused on producing banh tet, banh chung and adding pickled shallots to the market. Up to this point, the company has sold about 1,000 banh tet products and 1,000 banh chung Vinakake products.

Also participating in the production of OCOP products for the Tet market this year in Nui Thanh are the following units: Tam Loc Trading and General Company Limited (Tam Giang commune) with the products "Tam Loc spiced squid" and "Tam Loc snake squid sausage"; Hoang Hai - Tam Quang Agricultural Cooperative with the products "Ganoderma lucidum", "Ganoderma lucidum tea" and "Wood ear mushroom powder"; Trung Hai Agricultural - Aquatic Products Cooperative (Tam Hai commune) with the products "Squid in a braised dish and shredded" and "Co Kieu crispy dried anchovy"...

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Linh - Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nui Thanh district, from 2018 to now, the whole district has 30 products of companies, cooperatives and households achieving 3-star and 4-star OCOP at the provincial level, of which 4 products achieved 4-star and 26 products achieved 3-star. Currently, the subjects focus on production, bringing products to the market, creating a significant source of income for the facilities and workers.
