(Chinhphu.vn) - During the 80th National Day holiday, experts, doctors, nurses, and caregivers of Bach Mai Hospital are still busy with their daily work - treating patients. They are also preparing everything to best serve the A80 event.

Request permanent unit, do not leave Hanoi , ready to receive tasks

Speaking to reporters of the Government Electronic Newspaper, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Director of Bach Mai Hospital, said that to best serve the Anniversary Ceremony, the Hospital has sent 7 medical teams. Each team consists of 2 doctors, 2 nurses with expertise in initial emergency treatment, stroke, cardiovascular... along with 1 driver and ambulance.

Of which, 5 teams are on duty at Ba Dinh Square, including: 1 team on duty at the ICU room (intensive care) at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command, stands A3, A4, B and B1. As for the ICU room team, Bach Mai coordinates with the 108 Military Central Hospital to receive and stabilize severe cases before transporting them.

In addition, the Hospital also arranged 3 medical vehicles including: 2 vehicles on duty in the Mausoleum (Ong Ich Khiem gate), 1 vehicle on duty at stands B and B1.2.

"The medical teams will be on duty with 100% of their staff, and the teams will be on duty continuously from 12:00 on September 1 until the end of the September 2 anniversary," said Associate Professor Dao Xuan Co.

The hospital has also established a Professional Council consisting of leading doctors and professors in the following specialties: resuscitation, emergency, anti-poisoning, stroke, cardiovascular, tropical diseases, neurology, digestion... In which 6 experts were assigned to provide professional opinions to the Steering Committee.

At the Hospital, the unit has arranged 10 high-quality beds in the following units: A9 Emergency Center, Cardiovascular Institute, Stroke Center, Anti-Poison Center, Intensive Care Center, ready to receive delegates and people who unfortunately have health problems, and at the same time, prepare plans for possible disasters, fires and poisonings...

Prepare enough medicine and medical equipment

The Director of Bach Mai Hospital also said that the Hospital has prepared enough medicine and medical equipment according to regulations to serve the Anniversary Ceremony, and at the same time requested the leaders of the permanent units not to leave Hanoi city, and to be ready to receive the task when the Hospital mobilizes during the activities to celebrate the important historical event of the country.

Today (September 1), Associate Professor Dao Xuan Co made a surprise inspection and encouraged doctors, nurses, medical staff, and nurses... of a number of departments and centers of the Hospital. According to the Ministry of Health's plan to ensure medical services for activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, hospitals under the Ministry of Health must prepare 5-10 beds in case of unusual situations.

The Ministry of Health has coordinated with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the People's Committee of Hanoi City, the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to direct medical examination and treatment facilities to ensure emergency and medical examination and treatment during the Celebration, such as organizing and arranging medical teams to provide emergency care, medical examination and treatment, health care, and detect cases of infectious diseases for delegates, guests, and service staff...

At the same time, separate plans and solutions have been developed to ensure emergency care and medical examination and treatment for the Anniversary Ceremony, parade, and march on Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi; ensure a sufficient list of medicines, equipment, and consumables to equip medical teams; and ambulances according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health. Functional units are ready to provide emergency care in case of disasters, chemical and biological terrorism if they occur.

Strengthen communication to make it easier for people to access medical information

Previously, while inspecting the medical work serving the A80 event at the A80 Medical Response Command Center located at the Hanoi 115 Emergency Center, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan said that the medical work serving the A80 event of the assigned units must be maximally prepared, thorough, detailed and responsive to all possible medical situations.

The Deputy Minister noted that assigned units, including military and civilian medical staff, must be highly focused and ready in terms of human resources and materials, and must immediately check medical equipment, supplies, and medicines at medical tents and emergency teams to promptly respond to any medical situations that may arise.

The Deputy Minister of Health requested that units under the Ministry continue to closely coordinate with the Hanoi Department of Health, the Department of Health (Ministry of Public Security), and the Department of Military Medicine (Ministry of National Defense) to carry out tasks related to medical work serving the A80 event, especially sharing information in a timely manner to handle situations quickly and effectively.

In addition, it is necessary to strengthen communication so that people can easily grasp and access medical information; fully and accurately update medical service points on the A80 application, helping people to conveniently look up and access medical support as quickly as possible when in need, taking the safety and health of delegates and people as top priority.
