After about a week of heavy rain, the stream flowing through Hoa Son village, Ta Ca commune, rose high and flowed rapidly, causing erosion on both banks and the foot of the iron bridge across the stream.
By the afternoon of October 4, both sides of the iron bridge's foot had collapsed into the stream.

This is a bridge built to replace the bamboo monkey bridge built by authorities across the stream to rescue people isolated after the terrible flash flood that occurred on the night of October 1 and the morning of October 2, 2022.
Previously, on the morning of September 27, 2023, the stream flowing between Son Ha and Hoa Son villages, Ta Ca commune, was again surging and flowing rapidly. At around 9:00 a.m. on September 27, the iron bridge across the stream in Hoa Son village, where the heaviest flood ever occurred, showed signs of collapse, at risk of being swept away.

Therefore, local authorities and functional forces have blocked the bridge to ensure people's safety. By October 4, the bridge's foot had collapsed.
