On May 16, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province issued a document allowing the experimental exploitation of the eco-tourism product "Trekking Pa Thien - Voi Mep peak, conquering the roof of Quang Tri".

Accordingly, the Provincial Special-Use Forest Management Board will coordinate with the exploitation unit to complete the project and put it into trial operation.

The pilot process must have solutions to ensure absolute safety for tourists, comply with regulations of law on forestry, environmental protection, protection of natural resources...

Mr. Tran Xuan Cuong - representative of the operating unit - said there are 2 tours lasting 2 days 1 night and 3 days 2 nights.

"Pa Thien and Voi Mep are suitable for trekking tours, camping and experiencing activities in the forest.

This is a product that can attract young people, promote diverse tourism products for the province and create jobs for the Van Kieu people," said Mr. Cuong.

Voi Mep Peak is over 1,707m high, in Huong Hoa district, and is the highest mountain peak in this province.
