On the morning of December 9, in Kien Giang , a conference was held to summarize the work of the Emulation Front of the Southwest provinces in 2024.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Le Thanh Viet - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province (Head of the Emulation Cluster) said that 2024 is a challenging year but also a year of great pride with the great achievements that the Front system at all levels has achieved.
The provinces in the Emulation Cluster successfully organized the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024-2029 term; the Front's work has had many innovations and creativity, contributing positively to socio -economic development, maintaining national security and defense, and building the great national unity bloc...
"This is not only a clear demonstration of unity and joint efforts, but also affirms the leading role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the cause of building and developing the homeland. These results are thanks to the close leadership and direction of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the close coordination of authorities at all levels and most importantly, the tireless efforts of the Front's staff in each locality," said Mr. Le Thanh Viet in his opening speech.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the Cluster closely followed the Resolutions, programs and plans of the Party Committees, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at higher levels and the actual situation of the locality, focused on synchronously implementing the programs of coordination and unified action set forth by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, achieving positive results. Propaganda and mobilization work was focused on, the great national unity bloc was expanded and strengthened; campaigns and patriotic emulation movements received attention from sectors and levels, enthusiastically responded by people of all walks of life, social security programs were promoted, contributing significantly to stabilizing the socio-economic development situation of the locality.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front consults with member organizations to unite and gather forces, create high social consensus, care for families with difficult policies, poor, near-poor, disadvantaged households, vulnerable groups in society... helping them to rise up and escape poverty sustainably, thereby creating the position of the Front with the Party Committee, government and trust with the people...
In 2024, the “For the Poor” Fund at all levels in the Cluster received over VND 1,800 billion. From the above fund, 13,709 Great Solidarity houses and other social security activities were built.
Responding to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces in the emulation cluster have issued a Plan to organize the Launching Ceremony of the Emulation Movement "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in 2025. The provinces in the cluster have mobilized from enterprises, corporations, banks, agencies, units, and schools with an amount of over 235.6 billion VND and allocated 3,982 Great Solidarity houses. Especially Vinh Long province, this is the basic unit to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to mobilize support for people to overcome the damage caused by Storm No. 3; the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces in the emulation cluster called on agencies, units, organizations, individuals, enterprises inside and outside the province; cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, and armed forces to contribute to support and share with the people of the provinces and cities affected by storms and floods with an amount of over 264 billion VND.
Authorized by Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee To Thi Bich Chau, speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Van Thien - Head of the Southern Working Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive results that the Front system at all levels in the region has strived to achieve in 2024. All results of the Emulation Cluster of the Fronts of the Southwest provinces will be summarized and recorded in the 2024 Front Work Summary Report.
Mr. Vo Van Thien requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of localities to focus on completing the targets and tasks of 2024; closely coordinate with all levels and sectors to mobilize resources to care for the people; especially poor households, families in difficult circumstances, single elderly households, people with revolutionary contributions... to ensure that every family and every person can enjoy spring and celebrate Tet, determined not to let anyone lack food or clothing during the Lunar New Year 2025.
Mr. Vo Van Thien said that 2025 is the year of acceleration, breakthrough, acceleration to the finish line, completing the goals and tasks of the 13th Party Congress; creating a solid foundation for the 14th Party Congress term, our country enters a new era, developing quickly, strongly and sustainably. For the Fatherland Front system at all levels, it is the time to implement the Resolution of the 10th National Congress of the Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029 and the Action Program to implement the Resolution.
Mr. Vo Van Thien requested the provincial Fatherland Front to propagate, thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government, local Party committees and authorities. At the same time, it is necessary to pay more attention and invest in the work of supervision and social criticism. This is identified as the key and spearhead task of the Front's work in the coming period; it is also the wish of the Party, State and People for the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
"Requesting the Provincial Fatherland Front Committees in the Cluster to continue to thoroughly implement Directive No. 18 of the Secretariat on promoting the role, improving the quality and effectiveness of the supervision and social criticism work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; investing in social criticism of draft documents and resolutions that are local institutions and policies; closely coordinating with press and media agencies to publicly and transparently implement the results of supervision and social criticism," said Mr. Vo Van Thien.
In addition, Mr. Vo Van Thien suggested that the Fatherland Front of localities focus on implementing campaigns and emulation movements, focusing on implementing the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in 2025. Continue to improve the quality of the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"; the emulation movement "Solidarity and creativity"; the program "Border Spring, warm the hearts of the villagers", the coordination program "Promoting the movement of all people to protect national security in the new situation" ... with new and creative models and examples, suitable to the practical situation of localities and establishments.
Focus on implementing the summary of Resolution No. 18 of the 12th Party Central Committee on a number of issues of innovation in reorganizing the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently in the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels; focus on improving the quality of the Front's staff at all levels, especially at the grassroots level; proactively propose to the Party Committee and the government appropriate policies to ensure resources for the Front's activities.
