The Department of Finance has reported on the arrangement and placement of offices of agencies and units after the arrangement in the city.

Accordingly, the Department of Finance submitted to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City a plan to arrange and use a number of housing and land areas, including the housing and land area at 168 Truong Van Bang Street, Cat Lai Ward (former headquarters of the People's Committee of Thu Duc City).

After the arrangement of the two-level local government, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee agreed in principle to arrange this headquarters for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to use together with the Ho Chi Minh City Public Administration Service Center under the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Currently, this house and land headquarters is being renovated and repaired by the Project Management Board for investment in construction of civil and industrial works to arrange for the Public Administration Service Center. In particular, the area at the 2-storey building at 39 Nguyen Van Kinh Street (behind the land at 168 Truong Van Bang), the Office of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has received.

On August 12, the Ministry of Public Security issued an official dispatch proposing that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee transfer the house and land at 168 Truong Van Bang Street to serve the purpose of national security and socio-economic development in accordance with the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.

The Department of Finance proposed two solutions. Option 1, the People's Committee continues to implement the conclusion of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, arranging this land and house for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to use together with the Public Administration Service Center (under the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee).

At the same time, the Ministry of Public Security responded that it could not arrange to transfer this real estate and introduced two other real estate addresses for the Ministry of Public Security to consider and select as the location for the National Data Center to deploy innovation activities, digital transformation, science and technology development, and data industry.

Option 2, the City Party Committee and the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City agree with the proposal of the Ministry of Public Security, assigning the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to carry out the procedures for transferring the above-mentioned house and land according to the provisions of law on management and use of public assets. At the same time, arrange the house and land at No. 43 Nguyen Van Ba ​​Street, Thu Duc Ward as the Public Administration Service Center.

The arrangement of the working headquarters for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will be carried out based on the report of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on the situation of receiving, managing and using houses and land after the arrangement.

Regarding the former Binh Duong Provincial Administrative-Political Center, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to study the proposal of Becamex Corporation on converting it into the Ho Chi Minh City Science Center and the Multi-purpose Science and Technology Building. The Department of Finance is coordinating with the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to study the proposal of Becamex Corporation.

Regarding the former Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Administrative - Political Center, the Department of Finance proposed a plan to assign Saigon University to serve as an educational facility. Saigon University will return the houses and land that have been assigned to the city for management and use.
