According to records, the entire DH5 route has a total length of 18km, but there are more than 10 landslides, including 4 large landslides. The largest landslide at km5+00 is 25m high and 100m long, threatening two medium-voltage power poles, and at the same time, isolating thousands of households in Tra Van and Tra Vinh communes.

The remaining landslides are located at km6+00, km9+00 and km14+400, damaging the positive slopes, thousands of cubic meters of rock and soil are waiting to fall onto the road, affecting the residential area of Ong Bich village (Tra Van, section km9+00) and causing damage to many cassava and cinnamon areas of the people.

The solution proposed by Nam Tra My district is to dig, clear the land and re-roof the positive slope, relocate two medium voltage power poles to ensure electrical safety, and at km9+00 and km14+400, build embankments to prevent landslides and protect residential areas and people's crops. The estimated cost of the repair is more than 8.5 billion VND.
