A study from the University of Glasgow found that using your phone after 10pm is linked to mood disorders and poor sleep quality. Blue light from phone screens makes the brain mistakenly think it's daytime, thereby inhibiting the hormone melatonin, which helps you sleep easily.
As a result, you have difficulty falling asleep, sleep lightly, and wake up easily, causing fatigue and memory loss the next day. Professor Daniel Smith warns that prolonged circadian rhythm disruption increases the risk of anxiety, depression and unexplained stress.
Chronic insomnia also seriously affects work performance, study and social relationships. People who do mental work or need to stay awake will be significantly less effective if they maintain the habit of using their phones late at night. Experts recommend stopping using smartphones at least 1 hour before going to bed, especially after 10pm.
Instead of using your phone, read a book, listen to relaxing music or meditate lightly to help your body rest in the right biological rhythm. Dear readers, please watch more videos : Australia tightens internet laws, bans children from watching YouTube | Nhan Dan Newspaper
