Traffic light and road sign problems will be resolved in April

The Vietnam Road Administration has just sent a document to the Departments of Construction, road management areas, investors, and enterprises investing in the construction, management, and exploitation of roads under the BOT form regarding the continued review and handling of existing problems and inadequacies in the organization of road traffic.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Road Administration requested the above agencies and organizations to continue reviewing and thoroughly handling existing problems and shortcomings in the traffic light system, road signs and other shortcomings on the roads to ensure convenience and not cause difficulties for road users in accordance with the provisions of law.

“The time to handle the existing problems and shortcomings in road traffic organization must be completed this April,” Mr. Ngo Lam, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Road Administration emphasized.

The Department of Roads requests additional reports on the situation and results of the review and correction of existing problems and limitations in road signs, traffic lights and other shortcomings affecting traffic order and safety; promptly correct damages and shortcomings that can be done in regular maintenance work.

For complex damages and shortcomings, outside the scope of regular maintenance, this agency requires urgent planning and cost estimates to report to competent authorities for emergency repairs or inclusion in the 2025 and 2026 maintenance plans as appropriate.

The Vietnam Road Administration requests the Departments of Construction to review and immediately remedy any existing problems and shortcomings in road signs and traffic organization on roads under their management, if any, and at the same time advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct other relevant agencies and units to immediately remedy any existing problems and shortcomings outside the scope of their management./.
