Sheringham: 'Rashford doesn't deserve to join Barca'

Speaking on July 16, Sheringham said: "You always have to strive to reach the top and play for clubs like Manchester United. When you are there, you have to appreciate it. It's not easy to give up and say you want to leave. I feel disappointed with this choice."

Sheringham is a legendary striker for MU with 31 goals in 104 matches. He was part of the "Red Devils" team that won the treble in 1999.

As for Rashford, the striker has publicly expressed his desire to leave MU and join Barcelona. The La Liga club is also considering this deal when top target Nico Williams signs a new contract with Athletic Bilbao.

Rashford spent a decade at United, scoring 138 goals in 426 appearances. He was loaned out to Aston Villa in January after falling out with manager Ruben Amorim.

Rashford is about to leave Manchester United.

At Villa Park, Rashford had an impressive performance with 4 goals and 6 assists in 17 matches. However, Aston Villa decided not to activate the £40 million buyout clause to sign the England striker on a long-term contract.
