Music shows postponed and canceled after storm: Will audiences get their tickets refunded?

Recently, on his personal page, audience member Tu Nguyen shared a status about the Mac Biec music night being stopped but tickets were not refunded and changed to another show.

Tu Nguyen wrote: "I bought a ticket for a music show, but on the day the organizer announced the postponement due to force majeure, but they did not allow me to cancel or change the show. They forced me to follow a schedule that I did not even know about. I have never encountered this situation before."

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Tu Nguyen said he bought tickets for the Mat Biec music night on September 21 but it was postponed due to the impact of storms and floods.

"At first, when I contacted the Organizing Committee, I was told that I would not be able to get a refund or transfer to another show. However, after talking again, the Organizing Committee announced that the show Mat Biec would be held on November 9 and I would be able to change my ticket on that day," he said.

Tu Nguyen added that although there was no refund, this change was very suitable for his schedule. If he had not received a refund or changed his schedule in the first place, it would have been very unreasonable.

The male audience member also thinks that every time there is a program, the Organizing Committee should have a clear announcement so that the audience does not feel upset and the crew is less passive.

The representative of the Mat Biec music night also told Dan Tri reporter that the program will not refund customers but can compensate the audience at the next music night.

"According to the request of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, all shows after the flood until the end of September have been stopped. We have requested a performance license from the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, so we must comply with this schedule.

For those who have already purchased tickets, we will reserve them for the next 3 concerts that fit their schedule without refunding the ticket price," said the representative.

It is known that the 8Wonder Moon Festival music night scheduled to take place in 3 days from September 6-9 in Hanoi was postponed to September 13-15, but most recently, the show's Organizing Committee announced the cancellation of the music night and 100% refund of ticket prices for audiences who have purchased tickets.

In particular, with the spirit of sharing with the community, the Organizing Committee of 8Wonder Moon Festival announced that it will still contribute an amount equivalent to the expected revenue from ticket sales to support the work of overcoming the consequences of storms and floods, contributing to helping people soon stabilize their lives after this historic storm.

The first Huong music night of the season , part of the Soul of the forest music series featuring Van Mai Huong and Bui Lan Huong, was supposed to take place on the evening of September 7 in Phuc Yen, Vinh Phuc , but was also postponed. The Organizing Committee said that they are planning an alternative performance date, expected in November 2024.

Lam Bao Ngoc's music night was originally scheduled for the evening of September 7 in Hanoi, but to avoid the storm, it was moved to November 1 and the crew promised to have some great songs to send to the audience.
